The FJ-X2m App enhances the FJ400's grouping capabilities by expanding the group options from 6 to 10. Groups are color-coded for swift identification.

SAVE YOUR LIGHTING SETUPS

The FJ-X2m App enables you to generate and store up to 16 of your favored recurring lighting configurations by saving them as Studios.

COMPATIBILITY

To ensure optimal performance and outcomes, please verify that your camera is compatible with the FJ-X2m Wireless Radio Trigger. It is recommended to update the trigger to the latest firmware available at https://www.fjwestcott.com/4705.

FJ-X2m APP SETUP

You can modify the settings of the FJ400 through the FJ-X2m App using the FJ-X2m Wireless Radio Trigger. The app allows for the creation of various scenes that can be saved for future use.

Initial Setup

Prior to pairing the FJ-X2m with your mobile device, ensure that communication between the FJ-X2m and FJ400 is functional by pressing the TEST button on the FJ-X2m to trigger a test shot on the FJ400.

Turning on Bluetooth® on the FJ-X2m Universal Wireless Trigger

1. Turn on the FJ-X2m by long-pressing the Power | Menu button.
2. Simultaneously press the second and third Menu Selection buttons to access the Settings menu.
3. Scroll down using the Selection wheel until the Bluetooth icon turns green.
4. Select [OFF] by pressing down on the wheel, then press it once more to switch to [ON].
5. Select OK to return to the main screen and observe the Bluetooth icon in the bottom right-hand corner.

Note: Disabling the FJ-X2m will deactivate Bluetooth; you will need to repeat this process upon startup.

Connecting the FJ-X2m to an iOS Device

1. Turn on both devices – FJ-X2m by long-pressing Power | MENU, and FJ400 by long-pressing Power | MODEL.
2. Launch the FJ-X2m app on your compatible iOS device.
3. In the Select Devices screen, choose the FJ-X2m from the list.
4. You will see two boxes: Studio 1 and +.
5. Select Studio 1 for your first scene setup or click + to add a new scene.

Note: Studios function independently; ensure your iOS device and app are up-to-date alongside firmware updates for both devices.
